The trend: Military bohemian
She has on an over the knee long dress, with a brown leather belt and gladiator sandals. She is not wearing a lot of accessories, but the gold owl necklace got my attention. This trend is a mix of old fashion chic and a more modern cool style. The length of the dress is different than the maxi dresses we saw last year (and also will see this year). This girl is tall so she pulls of the length of the dress very well. The colors are kind off military inspired, which we also saw a lot of in late 2010.
What type of consumer would wear this?
Young trendy females from 20-30 could wear this. You have to be confident and believe in your style, because not everyone can wear a dress with the length like this one (its easy to show features you dont want to show; thighs, hight..).
Trend: Hipster sailor boy
This guy is wearing striped long sleeved sweater, blue rolled up jeans and brown loafers. He has on a brown leather belt (matching the shoes), a backpack with studs (which he put on himself), sunglasses and a leopard printed fedora. If you took away the accessories his outfit would resemble a sailor boy´ish look, which has been around for a while. But the accessories such as the hat and the studs on the backpack, makes it more rocked and hipster like.
What type of consumer would wear this?
Young guys from 15-25 could wear this. Its a mix of preppy and rock, which fits a lot of male consumers.
